**Job Posting: Occupational Therapist**

**Position Overview**
As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will assess and provide consultation, recommendations, and interventions to a diverse group of pediatric clients in their homes and/or schools, utilizing evidence-based best practices. You will ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with the client care team and collaborate with clients and the care team to promote independence aligned with VHA’s core values.

**Key Areas of Accountability**
- Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with professional practice guidelines established by VHA and the relevant regulatory college.
- Develop client interventions based on assessments and in conjunction with the client’s integrated care plan.
- Provide evidence-based services evaluated through valid and reliable outcome measures.
- Communicate regularly with all members of the client's team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.
- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries as required.
- Support safe client care through knowledge and skill development in line with continuous quality improvement principles.

**Required Qualifications**
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Membership in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Skilled in caseload management and electronic documentation.
- Ability to provide virtual care.
- Registered ADP authorizer (asset).
