**Job Posting: Postdoctoral Researcher - Infection Analytics Program**

**Location:** Kensington, Sydney, New South Wales
**Employment Type:** Part time or Full time available (21 – 35 hours per week)
**Duration:** 3-year fixed term contract
**Remuneration:** Level A $88k - $117k (plus 17% Superannuation and leave loading)

**About The Kirby Institute**
The Kirby Institute is a world-leading health research institute at UNSW Sydney. We work to eliminate infectious diseases globally, focusing on developing health solutions for the most at-risk communities. We aim to develop tests, treatments, cures, and prevention strategies with the greatest chance of success.

**Why Your Role Matters**
As a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Infection Analytics Program, you will contribute to research efforts tackling some of the world’s most significant infectious diseases. You will apply various quantitative techniques to model and analyze clinical and biological data, and develop familiarity with the underlying biology and literature.

**Who You Are**
- A post-graduate degree, or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics, public health, psychology, computing, or engineering; relevant work experience will also be considered.
- A PhD is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
- Significant experience or demonstrated ability in data analysis, analytical and quantitative skills, and data-fitting.
- Ability to undertake high-quality research.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to staying updated with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Ability to work productively within a team and collaborate across disciplines, while also being able to take initiative and work independently.
- A track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals is also desirable.
