**Job Title: Product Owner**
**Location:** Any of our offices across Canada
**About the Role:**
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing team! Reporting to the Manager, National Projects (Commercial Lines National Operations and Planning), the Product Owner will be familiar with the insurance industry and experienced in the Agile approach. The incumbent will work on the National Contact CL project, focusing on building strong relationships with multiple business teams and IT to manage a national business backlog of priorities.
**What You'll Do:**
- Define the MVP and strategy to roll out the vision.
- Collaborate with the team to define the product vision.
- Understand the objectives of the product and the problems it is solving.
- Convey the vision and goals to the team.
- Manage the product backlog, creating stories, prioritizing development stories, and technical debt based on business priority/scope.
- Communicate progress and deadlines.
- Understand customer needs and how the product fits in.
- Define KPIs and objectives for the product and ensure business objectives and targets are met through data analytics and feedback.
- Mitigate risk by raising concerns regarding product quality and proposing actions.
- Guide the activities of team members effectively to achieve project success.
- Act as a change agent by supporting and influencing the adoption of new approaches.
- Coach others to resolve problems and anticipate expected results.
- Work effectively and cooperatively with others; actively participate in goal completion and maintain good working relationships.
- Convey ideas logically, participate actively in meetings, and understand others' perspectives.
- Adapt to and work in a constantly evolving environment, remaining comfortable with ambiguity and performing well under stress.
**What You Bring to the Table:**
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Commercial lines insurance (P&C) knowledge required.
- CBAP certification is an asset.
- Exposure to large-scale or national projects.
- Relevant experience and proven knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of the application development cycle, especially in defining requirements and testing strategies.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in teams or matrix environments.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across Canada.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
