**Job Title:** Project Engineer
**Location:** Mississauga, ON

**Position Overview:**
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee project development and ensure compliance with contract requirements to meet customer objectives. You will manage engineering activities adhering to a comprehensive design and development control program, up to verification and validation in compliance with the customer statement of work.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Design and maintain electronic systems for military naval systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including the selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
- Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Assist in developing the structural design of products and provide feedback to design engineers on customer needs.
- Design test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing products.
- Investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation and recommend actions to maintenance crews.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment to ensure functionality per specifications.
- Estimate costs and submit bids for projects and prepare contract documents.
- Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, service schedules, and supply requirements for equipment.

**Reporting Structure:**
No direct reports, but may provide technical and project leadership to other engineering specialists.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Science.
- More than 10 years of hands-on experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Project Engineer.
- Experience with naval or airborne machinery, project management, and client relations with government and international customers.
- Familiarity with drawing standards (military or commercial) and experience with Creo modeling program.
- Experience designing hydraulic and electrically driven machinery for shipboard, airborne, and submarine environments.
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and marketing support.
