Reporting to the Director of Research & Analytics, this role will serve as a strategic partner in advancing the fundraising efforts of the Major and Estate Giving team and the broader Foundation. This role will be key in proactively identifying, researching, evaluating, and providing recommendations on donors, volunteers, and prospects.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct in-depth research on donors and prospects using internal information and external sources to provide strategic recommendations.
- Support effective engagement strategies by evaluating donor capacity and interests.
- Develop detailed profiles, reports, and briefing materials for individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Lead the systematic identification of potential donors to maintain a robust pipeline for the Major and Estate Giving team.
- Identify and map relationships to uncover opportunities for engagement.
- Monitor and communicate news impacting PMCF’s fundraising strategies.
- Support and improve the prospect clearance process to enhance collaboration.
- Handle donor information with compliance to confidentiality and privacy policies.
**Qualifications:**
- A bachelor’s or graduate degree in library science, information management, market research, or related field – or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with prospect research tools and databases (iWave, Wealth-X, RelSci), CRM platforms (Blackbaud CRM).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for creating tailored materials.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work well with others, and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
