**Job Posting: Quality Assurance and Product Engineering Analyst**

**Location:** Innovation Centre - Bolton

**Position Purpose:**
The Quality Assurance and Product Engineering Analyst will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Quality, Engineering, and Operations to address product and process issues, ensuring compliance with Home Depot and regulatory requirements. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues arising from failed product testing, inspections, factory audits, and product returns. The Analyst will utilize established metrics to monitor vendor performance, driving quality improvement and enhancing speed to market.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:**
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance merchandise quality, safety, and performance.
- Facilitate the product improvement process by addressing quality issues through supplier corrective actions, benchmarking, and value engineering.
- Maintain alignment with Global Quality and Product Engineering teams and processes.
- Understand Home Depot's internal and external customers, global sourcing processes, and proprietary brand initiatives.
- Work with third-party service providers and the Atlanta Product Engineering team to support program execution and address testing failures, improving speed to market.
- Assist in addressing issues for products that do not meet Canadian-specific needs and standards, ensuring merchandise is compliant.
- Establish metrics reporting (RTV) for continuous improvement in vendor products.
- Communicate quality and safety performance effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide product engineering guidance and evaluations as needed to achieve short-term business goals.

**Qualifications:**
- College or University Degree in Engineering or a similar field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance and/or Product Engineering role.
- Experience in material and product testing processes.
- Experience working with third-party inspection and testing companies.
- Exposure to quality assurance in a global sourcing, manufacturing, or procurement environment is an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:**
- Experience in quality assurance and/or product engineering within a manufacturing, distribution, or retail setting.
- Knowledge of product specifications and the ability to validate products against specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
- Proven ability to measure vendor performance and address quality issues for continuous improvement.
- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams across different global locations.
- Positive response to challenges and effective communication with stakeholders are essential.
- Familiarity with testing standards (CSA, UL, ASTM, etc.) and the ability to interpret and clarify these standards to stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
