**Overall Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Manager of Research and Innovation, the Product Innovation Specialist will support research-driven corporate goals and objectives, conducting in-depth reviews on ingredients, products, and manufacturers to support new product innovation for the USA market. This role involves conceptualizing and proposing new, innovative products, following potential products through development phases, and ensuring effective communication with various internal teams.

**Key Responsibilities & Duties**
- Conduct extensive literature and market competitor reviews on current and new ingredients/products.
- Review scientific technical material from raw ingredient and finished product suppliers.
- Prepare research-based safety and efficacy documents for regulatory submissions.
- Provide support for claim development and FDA/FTC compliance review.
- Work with buyers to source new raw materials.
- Liaise with third-party manufacturers throughout the new product launch process.
- Plan and execute internal studies to assess potential products and ingredients.
- Propose new formulas based on research and marketing objectives; optimize formulation with R&D.
- Lead project taskforce meetings for the USA Innovation business unit, identifying new ingredient trends and product opportunities.
- Survey the marketplace to purchase competitor products for review purposes.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP-sensitive areas.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements**
- Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Nutrition, Biomedical Sciences, or related field with 3+ years of related industry experience, or a Master of Science with 1+ years of experience.
- Experience designing formulas for US compliance (DSHEA, Prop 65, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Research-minded with critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with literature search engines.
- Excellent technical writing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Exemplary communication and networking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multitasking environment.
