**About the Role:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Risk Analyst to join our Risk and Payments team in a permanent position. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying fraud and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity to navigate a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify, analyze, and interpret fraud and gaming trends in complex data sets, presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure a low-friction experience for legitimate users.
- Track and provide insights related to fraud, refunds, and chargeback levels across products and partners.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to investigate root causes of losses.
- Conduct online investigations and maintain fraud incident reports.
- Utilize SQL, Python, or similar languages for data querying and analysis.
- Create written reports and documentation related to fraud prevention.
- Perform manual reviews of queued transactions to assess the likelihood of fraud.
**Qualifications:**
- 2-5 years of experience in the banking and payments industry, with knowledge of eCommerce fraud.
- University/College degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups, Macros).
- Proficiency in analytical software and programming languages (SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, with skills in pattern recognition and deductive reasoning.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
