**Job Title: Database Engineer**
**Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada**
**Schedule: 37.5 hours per week**

**Job Description:**
The Crypto Engineering team is seeking Database Engineers to certify and perform Database Encryption. We are looking for database experts to certify and test encryption use cases involving both native encryption (TDE) and managing keys using external Key Management systems. Responsibilities include the proposal, design, build, and automation of the solution using technologies such as CipherTrust Manager and Hardware Security Module (HSM).

**Job Requirements:**
- Minimum 7+ years in a Database Engineering role in a large enterprise.
- Expertise in applying TDE on SQL and Oracle within large enterprises.
- 5 years’ experience with MongoDB.
- Previous experience with automation for databases.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
- Proven experience certifying encryption for various storage technologies (Databases, Storage).
- Working knowledge of cryptographic and encryption technologies and standards (Symmetric/Asymmetric cryptography).
- In-depth knowledge of security controls and a proven track record of successful implementations in a large enterprise.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, including leadership, executives, clients, and vendors.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Collaboration with Internal Engineering, Deployment, and Operations teams to drive design adoption across IT.
- Ability to transfer knowledge to team members and make engineering design decisions effectively.

**Nice to Have:**
- Experience with CipherTrust Manager and/or HSMs.
- Previous experience with Key Management systems.
- Security certification (CISSP, CCSP, etc.).
