**The Work**

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Account Manager to join our dynamic Commercial Portfolio Management team. In this role, you will manage an assigned group of lending partners and an associated portfolio of mortgages, ranging from $5 million to $50 million, with the potential for participation in syndicated transactions of $150 million or more. Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering superior customer service by understanding and responding to client needs through underwriting renewals, assumptions, refinances, and loan modifications.
- Ensuring compliance with established policies and underwriting standards, while maintaining risk within the Bank’s appetite.
- Completing annual portfolio reviews and managing credit-related administrative duties, such as pipeline management.
- Networking with external business partners and various internal departments.
- Providing training and mentorship to junior team members, particularly in construction lending.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage complex commercial mortgage facilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling renewals, refinances, assumptions, and annual reviews.
- Control credit risk associated with your mortgage portfolio in accordance with Bank guidelines.
- Offer support and guidance to junior team members based on your extensive industry knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with internal contacts to meet transaction deadlines.
- Prepare reports for Senior Management on assigned categories.

**Qualifications**

- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree) in business or finance.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
- 7-10 years of commercial mortgage experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with AML/ATF regulations and corporate/legal documentation across various jurisdictions in Canada.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in employee development and mentorship.

**Additional Information**

This position is hybrid, with in-office time required at Equitable Bank’s location at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
