**Job Description:**

The Analyst, Assortment & Space Planning role reports directly to the Senior Manager Space Planning. This position is responsible for analyzing customer and sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to inform assortment and space planning decisions. The role involves reviewing and continuously refining product assortments and space allocations based on performance metrics and feedback, as well as generating reports and dashboards to track the performance of product assortments and space utilization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Ensure a portfolio of planograms supports the category strategy and adheres to the highest quality standards using established guardrails for each format/banner.
- Develop a thorough understanding of product attributes and merchandising styles for effective placement of products on shelves.
- Perform planogram reporting and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
- Support the development and refinement of best practices to be implemented within the Space Planning Department by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with Kick-Off meetings at the start of a planogram release to develop a strong understanding of the category format and strategy.
- Work with large amounts of data to evaluate, draw conclusions, and provide insights and recommendations to the Space Planning and Merchant Team on opportunities to optimize planogram performance and address data integrity issues.
- Assist the Senior Manager of Space Planning with various projects to meet ongoing business needs, providing data and reporting support on department initiatives.

**Qualifications:**

- Successful completion of a quantitative post-secondary education, with a focus on statistics or mathematics being an asset.
- Demonstrated expertise in merchandising, analytics, assortment optimization, and planning.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clearly communicate them to stakeholders.
- Proven adaptability to fast and constantly evolving environments.
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in financial, analytics, and/or merchandising functions.
- Experience with large data sets and/or statistical analysis is a plus.
