**Role Overview:**
As a Senior Analyst, Governance & Controls, you will manage regulatory and business risk related to the on-boarding and maintenance of brokerage accounts for CIBC Investor Services Inc. Your responsibilities will include legal account approval as signing officer, and providing support and guidance to business partners regarding account issues.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Support:** Assist the ISI Contact Centre and Account Open Manager with account documentation for new and existing accounts. Ensure compliance with CIBC and industry regulations by reviewing account documentation.
- **Analyze:** Review new account applications and account changes, applying regulatory and compliance rules to ensure KYC and risk obligations are met. Review and approve margin and option applications based on established guidelines.
- **Communication:** Clearly communicate account documentation issues to CIBC partners and clients. Propose initiatives for improving client experience and risk management, and efficiently review applications to meet timelines.
**Who You Are:**
- You are a certified professional with current accreditation and good standing. Completion of CSC, CPH, DFOL, Branch Managers Course / Investment Dealer Supervisors Course, and Options Supervisor Course required for licensing with CIRO-ID.
- You possess knowledge of CIBC’s Code of Conduct, Global Reputation and Legal Risks, and Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist policies.
- You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex problems and communicate detailed information effectively.
- You have a background in business, economics, or finance with 3 to 5 years of trading experience and relevant education.
- You are client-focused and prioritize finding the right solutions. Multi-lingual abilities, particularly French fluency, are an asset.
