**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Pension Legal and Plan Administration (PLPA) team in Toronto as a Senior Analyst. Reporting to the Associate Director of PLPA, you will work closely with a dedicated team of experts in pension administration and legal support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Research and analyze inquiries to provide accurate resolutions.
- Offer innovative solutions to complex inquiries while ensuring compliance with plan and legislative rules.
- Manage complex member escalations by identifying root causes and determining appropriate resolutions.
- Handle escalations from contact centers, coordinating necessary fact-gathering and consultations.
- Identify gaps in processes, communication, and pension content, making recommendations for improvements.
- Develop clear, well-written reports and support documentation for presentations to Senior Management.
- Coordinate and support internal stakeholder meetings to develop action plans and policy guidelines.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with internal partners.
- Contribute to the development of OMERS pension content based on prior escalations.
- Stay informed about pension legislation, trends, and news, providing insights on impacts to OMERS.
- Support additional initiatives and projects within the Pension Services team as required.
**Qualifications:**
- University Degree or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant pension and/or policy experience.
- Background in policy, law, actuarial science, or economics is an asset.
- Knowledge of pension plan administration, design, and current legislation/regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and identify issues.
- Proven ability to develop creative solutions while considering risks and stakeholder perspectives.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis methods.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
