**Position:** Data Services Analyst – Global Banking & Markets

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Drive the development and maintenance of data-driven solutions and services for Scotiabank Global Banking & Markets (GBM).
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Reusable Authoritative Datasets (RADs) for GBM trades and transactions data.
- Support data services for the GBM Trade and Transactions data domain.
- Collaborate with technology partners to enhance capabilities and perform root cause analysis on data quality issues.
- Analyze data sourcing needs, data mapping, and transformation to meet business requirements.
- Facilitate GBM trades and transactions data sourcing for internal clients such as Finance, Risk Management, and Treasury.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing documentation and guidance on data mapping and transformation.
- Contribute to the governance of trade and transactions data.
- Manage reference data related to assigned products and keep definitions and metadata updated.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance.
**Required Skills:**
- Experience with capital markets and corporate banking products and processes.
- Understanding of modern data platform components, including data controls and data processing.
- Experience in project delivery, business analysis, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong communication skills tailored for various audiences.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Data Fabric, and Data Mesh is beneficial.
- Graduate degree in IT or Business-related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in capital markets or corporate banking products is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) preferred.
