**Role Summary:**
The Client Experience Office (CXO) is a key component of Sun Life’s corporate strategy, seeking experienced data engineering professionals to extract meaningful insights from enterprise data. The Senior Business Data Engineer will be a vital member of the Data Enablement Team, responsible for building enriched data products that provide deep insights into our Clients, Advisors, Products, Transactions, and their intricate relationships.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Understand and interpret enterprise data to derive business value.
- Design and engineer data models representing key business entities such as Advisors, Clients, and Products.
- Ensure high levels of data quality and integrity across data sources.
- Convert complex business and technical rules into logic for data flows and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to implement data products for various use cases.
- Standardize metadata and document necessary information for data consumers.

**Qualifications:**
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies for data processing and analytics.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, and AWS Athena.
- 3 years of experience in Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in performance tuning of Spark jobs.
- Experience with relational database systems and analytical models.
- Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Governance principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

**Education:**
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Graduate degree in business or quantitative science is strongly preferred.

**Unique Requirements:**
- Attain Canadian Reliability Security Clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working as a Product Owner in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of fundamental statistical models and techniques.
