The Data department is crucial to Agoda's operations, ensuring effective use of data across the company. Our team focuses on implementing powerful resources including operational and analytical databases, BI tools, and data science technology. We aim to empower decision-making for business users and improve customer experiences through faster, reliable data access.

Our systems manage millions of writes per second and tens of petabytes of data. You will work on real-time data ingestion, replication, enrichment, storage, and analytics, utilizing Big Data technologies in innovative ways. As part of the team, you will contribute to the Data Lake—our central data platform that supports machine learning, reporting, and product experimentation.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Improve the scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our Data Platform.
- Build, administer, and scale the Data Platform.
- Utilize technologies such as S3, Kubernetes, KubeFlow, Spark, SQL, Impala, Scala, Java, and Python.

**What You’ll Need to Succeed**

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes Administration.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark performance tuning and debugging.
- Understanding of JVM with experience in either Java or Scala.
- Experience with workflow schedulers such as KubeFlow, AirFlow, or Oozie.
- SQL proficiency (e.g., SparkSql, Impala, BigQuery).
- Analytical problem-solving skills and systems administration experience in Linux.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Familiarity with open-source products.
- Python/Shell scripting skills.
- Experience in an agile environment with test-driven methodologies.
