**About the Role:**
We're seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare, analyze, and review OCS’s financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards while collaborating with various departments on financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, policy compliance, and other financial corporate reports. They will assist in managing internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and identifying business-wide process improvements. This role will support month-end close processes, assist with external audits, and provide insights on complex accounting transactions, new standards, business initiative impacts, and industry benchmarking to guide decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare, analyze, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS accounting standards.
- Prepare complete and accurate note disclosures in compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct technical accounting research memos on complex transactions and arrangements.
- Develop impact-analysis and implementation/adoption memos on newly issued or updated accounting standards under IFRS.
- Prepare complex journal entries aligned with accounting research memo treatments.
- Assess and recommend changes to accounting treatments, entity-wide processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Collaborate on the development, preparation, and review of internal corporate reports and financial materials.
- Review, reconcile, and maintain general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate on the annual report preparation, including management discussions and analysis (MD&A) financial commentary.
- Monitor and assess financial performance through ratios, benchmarks, and other financial KPIs.
- Assist in the maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and streamline financial close.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Act as the controllership subject matter expert for key business initiatives and projects.
- Work with auditors to identify, test, and implement reporting and control improvements.
- Champion continuous process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline reporting.
- Assist with Finance department special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with directives, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs on financial inquiries and requests.
- Prepare industry benchmarking memos and presentations for management.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, commerce, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in financial reporting, control environment, and financial analysis.
- Experience in large public accounting firms auditing or reviewing companies of various sizes preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in audit or internal control management preferred.
- CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build business relationships.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Strong financial and analytical skills with accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of IFRS.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI, OneStream, or similar reporting software.

**Job Details:**
This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in-office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street.

**Compensation:**
The target hiring range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000, with a salary range of $71,066.63 - $106,316.64. Placement in the salary range will be based on market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience.
