**Position Summary:**
Partners Community Health (PCH) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to integrating healthcare services to meet the needs of the community in Mississauga and West Toronto. We operate two state-of-the-art long-term care homes and a community hub, focusing on innovative programs and inclusive services. PCH is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and support our financial management functions. Reporting to the Controller, this role is vital in preparing financial statements for management and the board and overseeing accounting cycles, fixed assets, and inventory management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and report on the fiscal performance of PCH, assessing resource utilization and budgetary targets, and recommend corrective actions to the executive team.
- Analyze operational performance and coordinate the monthly closing process and preparation of financial statements.
- Identify and address systematic issues with general ledger accounts and procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project deliverables.
- Prepare reports for the Ministry of Health and assist in year-end audits.
- Monitor variances between actual and budgeted expenses and provide insights.
- Prepare cash flow projections and monitor cash balances.
- Implement and administer the ERP system.
- Lead month-end closing processes and general ledger analysis.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports to support various services.
- Ensure timely filing of GST/HST and other government documents.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Preference for Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CGA/CMA) or progress towards designation.
- Minimum of 5+ years of financial analysis experience in the healthcare or long-term care sector.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and expertise in MS Office; experience with Adaptive, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Ceridian Dayforce is advantageous.
- Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
