**Position:** Senior Financial Analyst
**Location:** Toronto, Canada
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the full cycle of general ledger accounting, including the review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries and allocations.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings (HST/QST).
- Review supporting documentation for corporate payments, including intercompany payments.
- Monitor bank balances and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Prepare step memos and other documentation to support contributions and distributions.
- Prepare financial statements for local regulatory filing purposes.
- Propose recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with requests from external auditors and other departments.
- Provide financial planning and analysis support as required.
- Complete ad hoc projects as directed by management.
**Qualifications:**
- University degree along with a CPA, CA/CMA/CGA designation.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry or public accounting experience; real estate management company experience preferred but not required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong follow-up skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
- Experience working in a large environment with a complex organizational structure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; exposure to JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced corporate environment and manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Willingness to embrace a steep learning curve with an open attitude towards learning.
