**Position Summary:**
We are currently seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. This role is open to candidates across Canada and the US.
**Team Mission:**
Our engineering department is dedicated to delivering outstanding solutions that empower our customers. The AI team utilizes advancements in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI (GenAI) to create tools that streamline workflows and enhance efficiency for legal professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop advanced machine learning models using structured and unstructured data to improve customer experience.
- Create LLM-based solutions to help clients save time and create efficiencies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, and data science teams to identify new machine learning-driven features.
- Work in an agile environment with a team of machine learning engineers and full-stack developers on various projects.
**Qualifications:**
- Hands-on experience in model development, particularly with traditional machine learning, NLP, and transformer-based models.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing for complex unstructured datasets.
- Experience with open-source LLM foundation models and APIs for commercial LLMs, such as ChatGPT or Gemini.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio showcasing past projects, demonstrating success and growth in machine learning.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated success in mentorship within software development, particularly in Agile processes for large scale SaaS products.
- Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth as a machine learning engineer.

**Salary Range:**
The full salary range for this role is CAD $144,900 to $196,100, dependent on individual experience and skillset.
