**Job Description:**
The Model Validation (MV) group in Enterprise Risk is responsible for the independent validation and approval of analytical models used for pricing, hedging, and risk and capital evaluation of financial products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a team of quantitative professionals to validate finance models for financial reporting and planning.
- Develop effective validation testing plans and ensure timely completion to support business initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise validation work to capture model limitations and ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve model issues within targeted timelines.
- Produce high-quality validation reports supporting conclusions and audit requirements.
- Recommend model approvals or corrective actions based on independent validation.
- Maintain professional knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques and share insights.
- Develop standards and procedures compliant with the Bank’s Model Risk Policy and regulatory requirements.
- Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Support employee development activities to help direct reports meet their objectives.
- Respond to regulatory requests and assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure compliance with Bank standards.
**Job Requirements:**
- Advanced quantitative skills with a degree in finance and professional affiliations/certifications in accounting/finance.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS9, US GAAP, and financial planning.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting advisory services or auditing of financial reporting systems for financial institutions; 1+ years managing a small team.
- Proficient in SQL and Python; familiarity with JSON is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities with minimal supervision.
