**Job Summary**

As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) team, the Senior Manager, BFS Data Innovation and Risk Analytics, is responsible for the development, implementation, integrity, and evolution of GRM Credit Portfolio and Workflow data models. The GRM - Portfolio Risk Oversight (PRO) group provides independent monitoring and oversight of material risks for the Business Financial Services (BFS) portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Acquire data from multiple sources, including Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Snowflake, and Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) to enhance the PRO’s data ecosystem.
- Transform and summarize raw data into aggregated data assets using database tools and big data technologies.
- Automate processes and dashboards using Python / Jupyter Notebook.
- Communicate results clearly to PRO leadership and partners across the business and risk sectors.
- Develop an understanding of credit risk across industries and credit products within BFS.
- Provide analytical support on ad hoc requests from stakeholders in business and GRM teams, and senior management.
- Collaborate with the PRO team on reporting dashboards and data pipelines.

**Qualifications**

- Must-have:
- Degree in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
- Strong data manipulation skills with SQL, Python, or other programming tools, and MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Nice-to-have:
- Advanced Degree (master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with RBC internal data systems.
