**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Model Risk Management Team as a Senior Manager, Model Risk, Credit Risk. In this pivotal role within our second-line governance and control, you will oversee the validation of credit risk models, including credit adjudication, account management models, Capital, Stress Testing, and Allowance models. This dynamic position requires a balance of leadership as both a people manager and individual contributor.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Model Risk Review and Challenge:** Validate models and assess model risk to ensure appropriateness for designated portfolios. Provide effective challenge during model development and communicate model use decisions to ensure transparency.

- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Manage relationships with model developers, owners, and users. Explain complex technical concepts in accessible language.

- **Project Management:** Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop strategic execution roadmaps. Lead strategic initiatives to achieve business and financial goals.

- **Change Management:** Drive innovation in model risk management, embracing new technology platforms and operating models. Lead change management programs including readiness assessments and stakeholder management.

- **Regulatory Expertise:** Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations. Interpret new regulations and assess their impact on validation frameworks.

- **Risk Understanding:** Connect technical issues with business considerations to inform decision-making.

**Qualifications:**

- Postgraduate degree in quantitative fields such as statistics, mathematics, data science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in model development, validation, or governance within a financial institution, particularly in credit risk.
- Experience with credit risk models, including AIRB, Stress Testing, loss forecasting, and adjudication.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS; experience with SQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Big Data tools and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

**What We Offer:**

- Salary Range: $92,400.00 - $171,600.00, based on factors like location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement savings plans.
- Hybrid work arrangement: At least 2 days per week on-site in Toronto, with flexibility on remote work.
