**Job Description: Senior Site Reliability Engineer, ONESOURCE Indirect Tax**

Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax’s SRE team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to provide hands-on technical skills and share industry best practices with other team members on core SRE principles and tools. The Site Reliability Engineer will participate in the end-to-end operational aspects of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Applications by collaborating closely with Architects, DevOps, Product, and development teams to optimize the software on AWS and OCI.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Represent operations in a technical capacity to leadership and development teams.
- Participate in discussions regarding stability, scalability, and supportability alongside development and operations teams.
- Contribute to and develop documentation on application services, infrastructure details, recovery procedures, and post-incident reviews.
- Create and manage application and infrastructure dashboards, runbooks, and automate playbooks.
- Perform software deployments, server maintenance requests, and document change procedures.
- Respond to and mitigate incidents as they occur within the environment.
- Adhere to cloud security best practices and manage performance, availability, and recovery requirements across the observability platform.
- Assist the engineering function by providing counsel and facilitating services.
- Perform troubleshooting, deploy systems, and execute maintenance tasks to meet specified SLOs.
- Participate in on-call duty on a rotational basis, including weekends.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level operations support or DevOps roles.
- Knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g., routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems).
- Expertise in observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk).
- Strong understanding of Application performance monitoring and user monitoring.
- Experience with AWS services and concepts such as ECS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Strong IP networking fundamentals and experience with standard application protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful APIs).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools: Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation.
- Knowledge of ITIL Change and Incident management processes.
- Experience in site reliability engineering with technologies such as Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Postgres.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
