**Job Title:** Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Cheese

**About the Opportunity:**
As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in the Purchasing Team for North America, focusing on sourcing strategies for the Canadian cheese category. Under the guidance of the Manager, you will contribute to purchasing excellence, teamwork, and the development of sourcing strategies.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop local/regional sourcing strategies through analysis of spend data and supplier research.
- Support the Canadian cheese category strategy, aligning with commercial team specifications.
- Provide support for the North America Purchasing team, including documentation and business cases.
- Identify and implement productivity projects across Lactalis Canada and affiliates.
- Consult on bid processes, prepare bid documents, and lead negotiations on vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with global procurement on negotiation initiatives.
- Identify negotiation cost-saving opportunities and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to execute projects and improve processes.
- Develop supplier relationships to enhance quality and performance.
- Track cost savings initiatives and provide monthly status reports.

**What You Will Bring:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a Procurement function, preferably in the food industry.
- Industrial and/or Supply Chain Purchasing experience preferred; experience in paper packaging is an asset.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, planning, and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present data effectively.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Willingness to travel 15% between Canada and the US.
