**Job Title: Senior Technical Writer**
**The Big Picture**
The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for conducting complex technical writing activities in their areas of training and specialization. Typical tasks include the editing and creation of SOPs, templates, labeling, reports, and quality documentation in accordance with Baylis Medical Technologies’ Quality Management System and established best practices.

- Conduct all documentation activities in compliance with quality practices and procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and report unsafe working conditions.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the company’s product lines, document structure, and customer needs.
- Interpret and support compliance with industry-specific technical standards.
- Develop expertise in one or more technical writing processes, business functions, or documentation types.
- Determine the scope of technical writing projects and conduct independent work planning to meet project timelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and independently research engineering information.
- Draft and edit technical content in support of product and process development projects, including updates and process improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with all business units/SMEs for technical review of documentation.
- Understand quality change procedures and draft associated documentation.
- Route documents through the eQMS and track the approval process.
- May provide leadership to Technical Writers and Staff Technical Writers.
**Your Unique Expertise**
**Required Skills:**
- A technical degree and/or technical writing certification with 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated competence as a Senior Technical Writer or equivalent.
- Experience in an ISO13485 environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Willingness to tackle new challenges and solve problems with minimal direction.
- Strong teamwork and independent contribution skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and project objectives reliably.
