As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in building and re-architecting tier-1 services that orchestrate and execute multi-modal conversational agent requests. Your work will directly impact how our AI understands and responds to user needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Quickly learn state-of-the-art technologies and algorithms in Generative AI to build the best conversational agent.
- Develop and maintain key platforms needed for connecting LLMs to actual user requests and real-world APIs.
- Collaborate with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Work closely with Applied Scientists to optimize latency, cost, and capacity across various conversational use cases.
- Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.

**A Day in the Life**
Your typical day may include brainstorming new approaches to enhance our AI's conversational abilities, coding and testing new features, and collaborating with colleagues to solve complex challenges using state-of-the-art technologies.

**Basic Qualifications**
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
