**Job Posting: Software Engineering Intern (4-Month Term)**

**Location:** 500 Lake Shore Boulevard West, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2V9

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking postgraduates or senior university students (3rd/4th year) to join our dynamic software engineering team for a 4-month term. This hybrid role requires in-office attendance 4 days a week at our Bathurst/Lakeshore location with flexible working hours.

**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop new features and products.
- Write clean, efficient code while adhering to coding standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Gain hands-on experience with modern tools and technologies in software development.

**Qualifications:**
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- Foundational experience with Java programming; familiarity with Spring Framework is a plus.
- Knowledge of REST concepts and experience with XML/JSON data formats.
- Exposure to software development tools (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic understanding of design patterns and their significance in software development.
- Interest in Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies or a willingness to learn.
- Eager to understand microservices architecture and cloud-native app development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them in practical scenarios.
