**About The Team**
In this role, you will join Stripe's Vulnerability Management team, which aims to foster a culture of continuous excellence in managing vulnerabilities. Our goal is to enhance customer trust by providing context about threats and vulnerabilities affecting Stripe's systems and to be a key partner in our risk management strategy.
**What You’ll Do**
As a Software Engineer focused on Vulnerability Management at Stripe, you will leverage your software engineering expertise to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in our systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers across the company to expedite the remediation of discovered vulnerabilities and continuously improve our security defenses.
**Core Responsibilities:**
- Identify vulnerabilities using automated tools and triage them appropriately.
- Collaborate with other teams to drive the remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the overall security and risk management strategy.
- Continuously improve security posture, processes, and tools.
**Who You Are**

**Minimum Requirements:**
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a high-stakes production environment.
- Strong communication skills and a deep respect for collaboration.
- Significant software engineering experience within the security domain.
- Familiarity with automated vulnerability identification tools and triage processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Creative and holistic thinking about reducing risk in complex environments.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
**Hybrid Work at Stripe**
This role is available either in-office or remote (typically 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users to foster collaboration while supporting individual flexibility.
**Pay and Benefits**
The annual US base salary range for this role is $163,100 - $244,700, which may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be refined during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonuses, a 401(k) plan, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
