**About The Role**
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Intern with 4-16 months of experience to join our infrastructure engineering team. The team is responsible for the infrastructure around building, deploying, and monitoring services, databases, and caches.

**Challenges You'll Solve**
- Work with cutting-edge infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Istio.
- Accelerate development across the company with faster, safer, and more frequent deployments.
- Improve developer happiness and productivity through enhanced tools and workflows.
- Contribute to cost savings initiatives and optimizations.
- Catch errors and performance issues early with automated monitoring and alerting.

**About You**
- Experience and comfort with POSIX-based operating systems.
- Familiarity with Docker and its applications.
- Understanding of networked services in the cloud: VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.
- Passion for automating repetitive manual processes.
- Ability to identify and eliminate waste in resources.
- Quick learner, adaptable to different languages and technologies.

- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Containerized microservices in Python and/or JavaScript processing 15k+ requests per second
- Kubernetes for service deployment
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm
- Datadog and Opsgenie for logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Postgres for storage and Redis for caching
- GitLab for version control and CI/CD
- Python, Bash, and Docker for local development workflows and CI/CD jobs
