**Position Overview:**
As an Employee and Labour Relations Specialist, you will provide support for a wide range of Employee Relations functions. This includes planning and coordinating in-person and virtual events, updating process changes, document management, and conducting research on legal statutes, policies, and performance management in a unionized environment. You will support both day-to-day inquiries and the continuous improvement of Employee Relations processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking Employee and Labour Relations support.
- Lead the development and implementation of various Employee Relations programs and initiatives.
- Draft and assist with correspondence, presentations, and policy development.
- Organize team meetings, utilizing audiovisual equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Employee/Labour Relations programs.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy records ensuring compliance with privacy and retention requirements.
- Support investigation and mediation processes, including performance management documentation.
- Assist with grievance processes and collective bargaining preparations.
- Conduct research on legal statutes and collective bargaining in other jurisdictions.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate employee records.
**Qualifications:**
- Completion of a college diploma or bachelor's degree in administrative studies, business administration, health administration, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Employee/Labour Relations environment.
- Event organization experience is an asset.
- Experience with Workday and a Labour Relations Diploma/Degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of human resources management and employee and labour relations principles.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal applications.
