**Role Overview:**
The TD Securities Payments Workflow Technology team is seeking an Application Engineer to implement solutions in line with the firm's technology strategy. The team is responsible for technology solutions related to Payments distributed workflow applications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Participate in planning, analysis, design, coding, consulting, and implementation of projects.
- Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to developers.
- Contribute to architecture design decisions, development tools, and best practices.
- Adhere to SDLC methodology and bank technology standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Business Systems Analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentoring to team members.
- Evaluate new technologies and document a detailed solution design.
**Qualifications:**
- University or Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
- At least 5 years of experience in software development with substantial project work.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring frameworks, and Agile methodology.
- Experience with real-time event-driven systems, application integration, and databases.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles is required.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
**Technical Skills:**
- Languages & Frameworks: Java (8 and above), Spring Boot, Restful APIs, PL/SQL.
- Databases: MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL.
- Tools: Maven, Gradle, Confluence, Swagger.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices is advantageous.
