**Our Tech Stack:**
- Distributed systems operated in GCP
- Database technologies
- GKE for workload orchestration
- Back-end services implemented in Scala
- Frontend web applications using React and TypeScript

**Day-to-Day Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable APIs and full-stack solutions impacting millions of travelers
- Develop back-end features in a fast-paced, experiment-heavy (A/B testing), data-driven, and Agile product lifecycle
- Conduct code reviews to ensure our codebases meet and exceed high-quality standards
- Operate autonomously while working closely with fellow engineers, designers, and product managers
- Participate in design and product discussions, with opportunities to mentor peers

**Ideal Candidate Has:**
- A natural drive to quickly understand and work within unknown codebases
- Strong product thinking, with a focus on customer experience
- Experience with, or a willingness to learn, distributed system development in Scala
- Capacity to build robust systems that handle high transaction volumes and user traffic

**Compensation:**
The yearly total compensation for this position ranges from CAD 150,000 to CAD 350,000. Base salary will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, and work experience. Total compensation will include a solid base salary along with equity (options/RSUs), potential sign-on bonuses, and other incentives.
