**Job Summary**

**What is the Opportunity?**

RBC is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the chance to develop cutting-edge cloud deployment platforms and help one of Canada's largest enterprises build a hybrid cloud. You will work alongside a team of passionate cloud engineers, tackling challenging technical problems and creating exceptional products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Build enterprise platforms in AWS to support modern development techniques and architectures.
- Extend Terraform pipeline support for AWS by developing Terraform modules.
- Leverage containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes, to create multi-cloud and multitenant platforms.
- Deliver capabilities using Infrastructure as Code (primarily Terraform) and GitOps.
- Collaborate with skilled engineers to advance RBC’s hybrid cloud strategy.
- Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of cloud platforms.
- Promote automation and infrastructure best practices.
- Create educational materials for fellow engineers.
- Continuously enhance your technical skills through hands-on practice.

**What Do You Need to Succeed?**

**Must-have:**

- 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with Python or Go.
- Solid AWS experience in a high-performance and business-critical environment.
- A passion for efficiency through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure Automation and Kubernetes platforms.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

**Nice-to-have:**

- Experience with Ansible, Artifactory, and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework, Kanban, or Scrum methodologies.
