**Job Description**
Curinos is seeking an experienced Staff Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Machine Learning Team. In this role, you will focus on applying data science, machine learning, and AI approaches to understand banking customer behavior and optimize engagement marketing through our FinTech product platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Combine data sources and apply multiple data and algorithmic approaches to create actionable insights about banking customers.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop segments for targeted consumer interactions based on shared preferences and behaviors.
- Partner with machine learning engineers to advance our Reinforcement Learning-based marketing optimization capabilities.
- Implement modern ML solutions for complex banking use cases and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
- Create organized datasets, data processing, algorithm implementations, and visualizations to support our platform software.
- Guide the team on appropriate algorithmic approaches and enforce best practices on model training, evaluation, and monitoring.

**Desired Skills & Expertise**
- 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science for consumer-facing and/or enterprise applications.
- Experience in prototyping, managing, operating, and updating ML and statistical models.
- Strong knowledge in statistical inference, experiment design, regression, classification, clustering, data mining, neural networks, and deep learning techniques.
- Familiarity with GenAI concepts such as retrieval augmented generation or fine-tuning.
- Proficient in Python-based machine learning frameworks, ideally with experience in PySpark and Databricks in a cloud environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to pivot quickly in response to business needs.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
