**Job Title: Senior Vice President, Chief Technical Underwriter (CTU) - Commercial Lines**

We are seeking a highly skilled professional for the position of SVP, Chief Technical Underwriter (CTU) for Commercial Lines. This role will oversee Aviva’s underwriting footprint across Aviva Business and GCS portfolios, establishing underwriting and reinsurance strategy, developing technical pricing capability, and providing oversight of trading functions.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage all technical strategies related to risk concentration, governance, underwriting, pricing, reinsurance, and customer support to achieve growth objectives.
- Oversee exposure and reinsurance management underwriting for Aviva Canada, ensuring adequate treaty and case reinsurance arrangements to support business objectives.
- Align product responses with customer and distributor needs, regulations, and internal efficiency according to Aviva's underwriting policies.
- Drive profitable growth in the Aviva Business and GCS books while maintaining robust controls across underwriting and pricing.
- Lead functions that translate technical underwriting outputs for operations.
- Develop a governance framework and strengthen underwriting fundamentals through learning and development (L&D) and quality assurance (QA).
- Establish measures and controls to ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to the approved risk appetite framework and maintain a positive organizational culture for effective risk management.

**Qualifications:**
- Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant property and casualty (P&C) experience.
- Extensive experience in strategic implementation and delivering change in a regulated environment.
- Proven track record in change management and transformation through systems and business processes.
- Strong leadership abilities to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
- High levels of integrity and a commitment to doing what is right.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior executives on strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in identifying priorities, acquiring relevant information, and generating solutions.
